My books are all standalone, so you can read them in any order you like! Though if you start with LOVE SONGS & OTHER LIES, you may catch a few stealthy Easter Eggs in WHEN SUMMER ENDS and MEET ME AT MIDNIGHT!
I do, you can find it here
All of my stories are a million little ideas shoved together. Some of those litle ideas come from very obvious places, like my own life, and some come from the strangest places, like a song lyric. The inspiration for LOVE SONGS & OTHER LIES was hearing the song Say Something by A Great Big World on the radio. WHEN SUMMER ENDS–specifically Aiden’s character–was inspired by my own struggles with vision loss, which started in my teens. I sometimes find the spark of an idea in a headline I read, or a photo I see online. Some stories start with the characters and some start with the plot. Wait, am I even answering this question? Ideas are all around you!
I read a lot. Even when I’m writing, I read a lot. And if I’m not reading or writing, that means my 4-year-old is awake, and I’m hanging out with him, building something questionable out of Play Doh, or being used as a human jungle gym.
An impossible question! Counter offer: here are just a few of my all-time favorites. (Spoiler: swoony kisses await):
My Life Next Door by Huntley Fitzpatrick
Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins
A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas
Stolen: A Letter to My Captor by Lucy Christopher
The Cruel Prince, The Wicked King and The Queen of Nothing by Holly Black
The Impossibility of Us by Katy Upperman
The Hating Game by Sally Thorne (adult romance)
Scoring Wilder by R.S. Grey (NA romance)
…just to name a few!
